Waukesha County 4-H Service Project: Love Bugs!

Want to make a difference? Here’s your chance!

We are looking for “Love Bugs” forms (the shell of the bug) to be made and donated for a Waukesha County 4-H county-wide community service project.

Who can make/donate a Love Bug: ANYONE! This is a beginner level sewing project that you can do to make an impact in the community.

What: A Love Bug is a friendly stuffed bug that can help make a child’s day. We are asking for anyone in the community to make the form of the Love Bug on your own and then donate it. This does NOT include the eyes, stuffing, sewing shut, or adding a note. Love Bug Pattern and Details

When: We are asking for the community to make the forms to donate now through June 1st.

NEW!!! Love Bug Kits are available for pick-up now at Studio 321 at the Waukesha Public Library. Kits will also be available for pick-up at the 4-H office after May 6th.

Our goal is to make 100 Love Bugs to be distributed to local police and fire stations in our Waukesha County Communities.

Forms can be turned in to the Waukesha County 4-H office (Waukesha County Courthouse Administration Center – Room G22), to your club leaders, at Waukesha County 4-H Project Nights, or you can arrange for pick-up with Sarah Tetzlaff.

All donated forms will be completed in a Stuffing and Sewing session on June 18th at the Waukesha Public Library from 5-8 p.m. 4-H members, families, and the Waukesha County community are invited to help complete these forms during this stuffing & sewing session.

If you have any questions about this Countywide Community Service Project please contact: Sarah Tetzlaff at andi3360@gmail.com.
