StrongBodies

What is StrongBodies?

StrongBodies is an evidence-based strength training program for adults of all ages. Strength training classes increase strength, energy, bone density, and muscle mass and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. StrongBodies classes help us stay independent as we age and socially connected in our communities.

Classes are approximately 60-75 minutes and meet twice per week for 10-12 week sessions. Typically, four sessions are offered at each site throughout the year. Classes include strengthening exercises using hand weights and ankle weights, balance, and stretching. Modifications and adaptions are provided for exercises so that everyone can participate in the program.
