Join 4-H
Joining 4-H is a two step process that must be completed annually beginning each September; enrolling online in 4-H Online and paying the annual County enrollment dues. While you can join 4-H anytime, the best time to join a 4-H Community Club is in the Fall so you can participate in 4-H for the entire club year. If you haven’t selected a 4-H Community Club, choose one that works best for your family from the list below.

Step One: Enroll in Extension Waukesha County 4-H electronically using 4-H Online
Create a family profile and then a member profile for each youth. (This step should be completed by a parent/guardian with youth present to select 4-H projects.)
Step Two: Pay the County Enrollment Dues
The enrollment dues are based on the number of youth enrolled in 4-H in a family. The dues are $40 for the first child and $10 per additional child. For example, if your family has three youth enrolled in 4-H it would be $40 for the first child, $10 for the second child, and $10 for the third child for a total of $60. Enrollment dues are non-refundable.
Dues are processed through Regpack, our online registration program. To pay by check, please make checks payable to Extension Waukesha County and mail to Extension Waukesha County 4-H at 515 W Moreland Blvd AC-G22, Waukesha WI 53188.
If financial assistance is needed, fill out send in the the Dues Waiver for Family Enrollment Request. Contact James Boling at James.boling@wisc.edu with questions.
Welcome to Extension Waukesha County 4-H!
Now that you’ve become a 4-H youth member, here is a list of things you can do in 4-H to help you get started.
Club Level Participation
Be sure to attend club meetings and events. The best way to know what’s going on and coming up is to be there and hear about it for yourself.
Participation in County Events
Get involved in county events; participate in Project Nights, Performing Arts Day, and more. Enjoy yourself! (See 4-H activities and events.)
4-H Projects
Attend every project meeting you can! Project leaders are a wonderful resource – take advantage of their wealth of knowledge, learn from them! Begin working on your 4-H projects now. (See 4-H Projects.)
Club Leadership
During your first year in 4-H, you will not likely be an elected club officer, but pay close attention because you may want to get involved in that in the future! There are additional youth leadership opportunities as well.
Record Book Tracking
Youth in grades 3 and above are encouraged to document all their 4-H activities at the club, county, and state level. The Record Book is also used to track community activities and the progress of a youth in each respective 4-H project. Many 4-H members will attest to the benefit and importance of Record Books and record keeping as they apply for higher education, prepare their resume, and submit applications for jobs. (Record Book tracking is required for awards, trips, and scholarships.)
