Are you looking for a summer “job” to earn money, build your resume, and make a positive impact in the community?
Apply now to become a part of the Extension Waukesha County 4-H team as a summer member of AmeriCorps, where you will help provide quality educational experiences for youth and their families.
This is a quarter-time summer AmeriCorps position at the Extension Waukesha County office (515 W. Moreland Rd., G-22, Waukesha). The program runs from June 1 – August 22, 2026 (450 hours, on average 32 hours per week), and there is a mandatory in-person orientation on June 1st in Green Bay.
Get Support While You Serve
Earn $5,000 in living allowances ($838.35 every two weeks) and nearly $2,000 in an education award upon completion of the program that can be used for college loans, tuition and more.
Grow Professionally
Gain hands-on experience and enhance your professional resume with experience working for UW-Madison Extension Waukesha County and AmeriCorps.
Who Should Apply?
- High school or college students on summer break (must be 18 by May 31st)
- 4-H volunteers who would like to get more involved

Extension Waukesha County is located in the Administration Center of the Waukesha County Courthouse Complex. Enter through the main Courthouse doors. After going through security, take the corridor on the left to the the Administration Center. Take the elevators or stairs to the ground floor and go to room G22.
