The 4-H Thriving Survey is a national evaluation tool used to measure the impact of 4-H programs on youth development. It is based on the 4-H Thriving Model, which predicts that high-quality programs help young people “thrive,” leading to long-term success in life. The 4-H Thriving Model scores were based on a scale of 1.0-7.0 from a survey of more than 50 Waukesha County 4-H members in grades 8-12 in October 2025. A score of 5 or more indicates a fair thriving score, while a score of 6 or more illustrates a high thriving score.
Waukesha County 4-H youth reported an overall program quality score of 6.21, with individual scores as follows:
- Youth/Adult Partnerships: 6.47
- Caring Adults: 6.30
- Belonging: 6.29
- Challenging Growth: 6.15
- Youth Sparks: 5.93
Thank you to the youth who took the time to respond to this survey!
